Food Hub Update August 2025

Thanks to the Jericho/Underhill communities for attending the Jericho Underhill Food Hub 2nd annual Summer Community Meal. 168 community members were served foods all originating from local farmers. The meal included Pulled Chicken on English muffins, along with a squash salad, green salad, and slaw salad. For those that were vegan, mushroom tops were provided as an alternative. It was agreed that everyone enjoyed the food and a community get together to catch up and visit. Look forward to the next community meal to be served in January 2026.

Monday, August 25th, 6pm at the Jericho Community Center, Transition Town Jericho is sponsoring a get together for “Idea to Action: The Jericho Underhill Food Hub Journey” If you have questions such as:

  • What is a Food Hub?
  • How do I benefit from a Food Hub?
  • Does a Food Hub cost me more money?
  • What is local food and who provides?

Please join us to hear the answers to these questions and join in the conversation to help the JU Food Hub move into the future, keeping the needs of the citizens of Jericho and Underhill in mind.

The Food Hub team continues to meet on the last Wednesday of each month, the next meeting is August 27th, 6 pm at the Deborah Rawson Memorial Library. Anyone is welcome to attend to learn more about the Food Hub activities and plans.
