FAQs about the Commercial District Planning Project

In the context of this project, a Master Plan is a visionary and strategic document that will, if adopted by the Planning Commission after town-wide consideration, be incorporated into the Municipal Plan.  It outlines the goals and objectives for the future and be used by the community as a guide suggesting land use policy, infrastructure investment and decision-making.  On its own, the Master Plan is not a regulatory document, but it can be incorporated into the municipal plan, which would provide a basis for future policy and action.

We will have many opportunities coming up for the public to weigh in.  Stay tuned for specifics, but we will have information and interactive opportunities here on this web page as well as public meetings.

The Advisory Committee is made up of community members who were chosen to represent different parts of the community.  The following 9 people are on the Advisory Committee:
