What is a Master Plan?

    In the context of this project, a Master Plan is a visionary and strategic document that will, if adopted by the Planning Commission after town-wide consideration, be incorporated into the Municipal Plan.  It outlines the goals and objectives for the future and be used by the community as a guide suggesting land use policy, infrastructure investment and decision-making.  On its own, the Master Plan is not a regulatory document, but it can be incorporated into the municipal plan, which would provide a basis for future policy and action.
