"All dogs are required to be registered in the town in which they reside by no later than April 1st of each year." After April 1st a $ 4.00 late fee will be added.
If you have a new puppy, we can't register it until after it receives it rabies vaccine. Technically dogs do not need to be registered until they are 6 months of age.

Walk into the Town Hall ( M-Th 8-4, Fridays 8-12:00 noon)-- as of March 19th, 2020 this is not currently an option but there is a drop box outside the Town Hall if you want to leave off an updated certificate

Your registration should include the following:
The appropriate fee, see below for current fee schedule. -- there is no fee for timely registration by April 1
A copy of the current rabies certificate if not already on file.
Your dog's registration information, if not already on file.
If your veterinarian has exempted your dog from receiving the rabies vaccination, please provide the appropriate documentation signed by your dog's veterinarian.

* As of July 1, 2015 registration fees include statewide surcharge of $5. This covers a rabies control program ($1) and the establishment of funding of a statewide spaying/neutering program ($4). For more information about the V-snip program, go to VSNIP.
**At the Select Board meeting December 29, 2014 a motion was approved waiving the registration fee for all dogs that are registered in time and that have a rabies vaccine on file that is valid through April 1, 2015, in addition the Town will pay the $4 fee to the state for each dog registered in a timely manner.
