EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED :The officers host the first event of the year, an organizational meeting, to put together the groups responsible for the other events of the year. This where you get to really know the other members in a small group setting to plan an event. The club has held road rallies counting cows and trying to identify unusual farm equipment along the way, rented a school bus for an historical tour in Underhill, dinner in a sugar shack, trips to the VYO, Lyric Theater, Hyde Park Opera House performances, wildflower walks, discussions from the Vermont Genealogy society, a Gary Irish photographic then and now as well as many other kinds of events. We also anonymously sponsor a BRMS family in need at Christmas.
This year’s event is Friday March 20 at 6pm in the Jericho Town Hall. Cost is $2.50 pp for annual dues, helps defray out of pocket costs is an event costs more than budgeted, and $7.50 pp for the dinner. This year’s theme is Vermont: Hidden Treasures/ Favorite Places. Bernie Paquette and Maeve Kim will show photos and talk about paddling in Vermont. Please bring an appetizer, side dish or dessert to share using a Vermont ingredient. Please be advised the Jericho Town Hall does not have a stove. The break room has a refrigerator, microwave and a toaster oven. The committee will provide ham, baked beans, brown bread and drinks.
