State Primary Election August 13, 2024

The State Primary Election for 2024 will be on August 13. If you are thinking of running for State or County Office you can find out petition deadline information on the Secretary Of State's website. If you are running for State Representative for Chittenden - 3 (Jericho & Underhill District) as a major party candidate, petitions are due to the Jericho Town Clerk by Thursday May 30th 5pm so that your name appears on the August 13th ballot. If you are running as an independent, there are different timelines to follow so that your name appears on the November 5th General Election Ballot.

Justice of the Peace candidates for Jericho will be nominated by local political parties in August. If you wish to run for Justice of the Peace as an independent, the consent of candidate form and nominating petition should be filed with the Jericho Town Clerk by Friday August 16th.
