07.17.25 update- Browns Trace bridge

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES:

This week, ECI finished driving piles on both sides and started forming and installing rebar for the abutment stem and wingwalls. They also finished installing the retaining wall on the northeast side of the project. Tomorrow, they plan to pour both abutments and wingwalls up to the bridge seat elevation.

Next week, ECI will begin box cutting and backfilling the new roadway and plan to install the precast deck slabs towards the end of the week. They will be continuing to work on stone armoring around the new abutments.

TRAFFIC IMPACT: The road will continue to remain closed. Motorists should follow detour signs.
