  • Request for bids- Fitzsimonds Road Bridge repairs

    Then the paving construction will begin from just above Route 117 and go a mile and a quarter up the hill past Tyler Place. This work should be done by August 17th weather permitting . Below is a schedule of what work will happen during this time, again weather permitting. The road will be open and down to one lane, and there will be delays. Please seek alternate route if you can. We will keep you posted if any changes occur.

    Updates July 25, 2023:

    SKUNK HOLLOW ROAD

    July 31st & August 1st the road will be closed near the intersection of Tyler Place and Skunk Hollow Road from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. to put in two cross culverts in on the hill heading towards Route 117. Equipment for this job will be moving in on Friday. Please plan accordingly and seek alternate routes during this time.

    Skunk Hollow Road paving project will begin sometime in August and the Town will give you more info as it gets closer.



    Beginning in July and ending in mid-August (pending weather), Pike Industries will begin Skunk Hollow Road Improvements per the design/scope completed by East Engineering and coordinated with the Town of Jericho Highway Department. The area under construction will span from the section of Skunk Hollow, just below White Oak Drive on the Rt. 117 end, to #100 Skunk Hollow Rd—just below the highest point of the road heading NE toward Plains Rd.     Preparation work will include culvert replacements, milling, 12" depth reclamation, base and surface pavement, as well as guardrail work, line striping, and shoulder work. Screened grindings will be installed directly adjacent to new pavement on the roadway shoulders, which will then transition to existing grade with topsoil/hydroseed A single lane for thru traffic will be open at all times (expect short delays) and two way traffic accommodated at the end of each workday.     NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR STATEMENTS OF QUALIFICATIONS

    FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES

    The Town of Jericho is in the process of obtaining Statements of Qualifications from qualified architectural/engineering firms detailing the firms’ qualifications, technical expertise, management and staffing capabilities, references, and related prior experience. Required professional services will include but are not limited to preliminary engineering services, design-and construction-related services, preparation of bidding and contract documents, participation in the evaluation of bids received, and monitoring and inspection of construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications associated for a Wastewater Feasibility Study and resulting project(s) for the Town of Jericho’s three village Centers

    Procurement of said services will be in accordance with elements of the procurement process in 40 U.S.C. § 1101-1104. Qualified firms/candidates interested in being considered for this project must submit three copies each of: (1) letter of interest; (2) statement of qualifications and experience of staff persons who will be involved with the project; (3) references; and (4) related prior experience. Submit the requested information to P.O Box 39, Jericho, VT 05465 and email to ksonnick@jerichovt.gov; no later than 12:00 pm on November 2, 2021, in order to receive consideration.

    Attention is directed to the fact that the proposed project may be undertaken with a variety of Federal and state funds including the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) and that all work will be performed in accordance with the regulations issued by such agencies and the State of Vermont pertaining thereto.

    The Town of Jericho shall evaluate the statements of qualifications and performance data and other material submitted by interested firms and select a minimum of three firms which, in their opinion, are best qualified to perform the desired services. Interviews with each firm selected shall be conducted, which may include discussions regarding anticipated concepts and proposed methods of approach. The Town of Jericho shall rank, in order of preference, these three professional firms deemed to be the most highly qualified to provide the services required, and shall commence scope of services and price negotiations with the highest qualified professional firm for engineering services.

    The Jericho Highway Department will be closing Leary Road from 123 Leary Road to the Bolton/Jericho Town Line on September 16 from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm to replace 2 culverts.

  • Orr Road Closure

    August 24 - September 1, 2021

    The Jericho Highway Department will be closing down the beginning of Orr Road from the Browns Trace side in front of Clark's Truck Center from August 24th through September 1st to remove pavement and put down a new base .The road will be completely closed, with no thru traffic. The road will remain closed at night as well. Clark's Truck center employees, customers and emergency vehicles will only be allowed to enter that area.

    There will be detour signs up on Packard Road.

    The Town of Jericho Highway Department will have Skunk Hollow Road closed from Tyler Place to White Oak Drive on August 18th for a cross culvert replacement starting from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The road will be completely closed with no thru traffic until after 3 p.m.

    Please seek alternate routes between these hours.

    The Jericho Town Library will be hosting the Annual Jericho Pet Parade that will be held on Saturday, July 31st from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.

    The Jericho Center Circle will be completely closed for the duration of this event. This will affect Bolger Hill residents so please plan accordingly as you will not be able to access Jericho Center Circle or Bolger Hill during these hours. The Town of Jericho will be placing Road Closed signs up to remind people.

    Bid Announcement Summary

    Jericho Center MultiModal Path

    Jericho STP BP15(10)

    Sealed bids from pre-qualified contractors were be accepted by April 2, 2020 at the Town of Jericho Municipal Offices located at 67 VT Route 15, Jericho, VT 05465 for construction of the project hereinafter described. The bid has been awarded to Munson Earth Moving. Once a construction schedule is finalized, that will be posted.

    LOCATION: Beginning on Browns Trace Rd (TH #1) at the intersection with Pratt Road (TH #23), and extending approximately 1,800 ft northerly of along the east side of Browns Trace Road to the intersection with Ethan Allen Road (TH #2).

    TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION: Work to be performed under this project the construction of a bituminous concrete shared use path. The work will include: grading, subbase, paving, construction of a dry laid stone wall, storm drain piping, signs and other highway related items.

    CONTRACT COMPLETION DATE: The contractor shall commence work as soon as weather permits on or about May 1, 2020. The Final Completion date for all work under this contract is September 4, 2020.

    A rebuild project will begin May 3rd for Barber Farm Road. This will begin at the intersection of Route 117 and Barber Farm Road and go up to Hilltop Drive. Expect delays with one-lane traffic. Please seek alternate routes if you can. This project is projected to last about 3 to 3 ½ weeks.
