Jericho, Vermont - Updates and Upcoming Meetings/Events

Here are some updates that might interest you.

Town Clerk:

Jericho Property Taxes are due on Monday, September 15, 2025. Treasurer Office hours: Monday - Thursday 7:45 am - 2:45 pm. The outside Drop Box at Town Hall is available for tax payments 24/7.

The Board of Civil Authority is reviewing Jericho’s voter registration list. Challenge letters will be sent to voters that the BCA could not confirm still lived in Jericho. Letters should arrive mid-September. Read more here.

Town Meeting Reimagined:

On Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the MMU Library (and on Zoom), Jericho will launch the next cycle of our Town Budget & Ballot Process with a community Kick-off Session. Planning Commission:

The PC meets on September 16th at 7pm and the agenda includes the next part of our ongoing discussions on Enabling Housing in Jericho - Housing Typologies and Allowable Uses. The public is invited to attend and community input is welcomed. Email any public comments for the Planning Commission prior to the meeting to Town Planner, Chris Shaheen, at cshaheen@jerichovt.gov.

Bicycle Pedestrian Connectivity Committee:

Join the BPCC for a volunteer work day on Sept. 21 to help restore a section of buried sidewalk on Raceway Rd. Read more here.

Town Hall Art Project:

Call to Artists: Earth’s Bounty. Whether Earth’s Bounty brings to mind the classic cornucopia, Rockwell’s “Freedom from Want”, the diversity of life on this planet or simply a place of beauty, established and emerging artists are invited to submit one or two pieces of artwork in any medium including photography for “Earth’s Bounty.
