Green Up Day 2023 - May 6th

STEP 1: SIGN UP (However, advanced sign up is not required to participate!)

You can sign up for a road segment here. NEW! We also have 4 slots for anyone with a large vehicle to do a sweep around assigned roads to pick up any stray green bags and get them to the Town Garage by 3pm on May 6th. Scroll all the way down to the last slot if you'd like to help in this way.

STEP 2: GRAB SOME GREEN BAGS

Green Up Day Bags available at Jericho Town Hall, Jericho Town Library, the Deborah Rawson Library and on Green Up Day at the Community Center.

STEP 3: TAKE YOUR FILLED BAGS TO THE TOWN GARAGE

On Green Up Day, the Town Garage, located at 510 Browns Trace, will be open from 10am to 3pm so you can drop off your green up day trash, scrap metal and tires that are found along the road side. Do not bring propane tanks. Leave them where they are and let the Town know about the location. You can do that by calling 899-4936 x1 or you can use the "Green Up Spots" mapping tool (below on this page), where you can place a pin and a picture on the location where you find any large items. That will help us locate them. You can also use this tool to help us locate other large items that you can't/don't want to drop off at the Town Garage. Green Up Day trash will only be accepted from municipal trucks at Chittenden Solid Waste District so residents should transport the trash to the Town Garage by 3pm on Saturday.

The Green Up Day Breakfast is back!

Drop in to the Community Center in Jericho Center, 329 Browns Trace, between 8:30 am and 10:00 am to share breakfast with your neighbors before heading out to green up. Bring a dish to share. Coffee, tea and cold drinks will be provided.

Below, there is another tool, "Your Green Up Photos," where you can upload your green up photos to share them with the Town.

This year the Conservation Commission is coordinating Green Up Day. Email info@jerichovt.gov with questions.
